THE HSUS PROFITS OFF OF MISERY

The Humane Society of the United States opposes any real legislation that will truly put an end to puppy mills. HSUS profits by telling horror stories of animals suffering, but do not run a single shelter. HSUS opposes HB 1412 because they know it will have real impact on standards of care and keep pet stores accountable to their local municipalities all the way up to the Attorney General. The only way to stop puppy mills is to hit them in their pocketbook, not create a black market for puppies.
